The Lionesses v China – Female Exhibition Match
Preamble
Greetings and welcome to the non-competitive game between England and China at Wembley Stadium. The match is set to be a thriller with the reigning European champions facing the current Asian Cup champions.
England’s national stadium is packed for the event, which will see the celebrated Fran Kirby celebrated pre-match after her retirement from the national team before the Euros this past summer.
The team news will be shared imminently, but there was a late squad update for England. On Friday, the goalkeeper Khiara Keating withdrew from the squad with a minor injury, and so ex-first choice Ellie Roebuck has been summoned.
With Hannah Hampton injured, it will be interesting to see who the Lionesses' coach Sarina Wiegman selects in goal. That news and all the other updates are on the way before the start of the match at 5.30pm GMT.
Squad Updates
Squad details are now available. Anna Moorhouse is the starting keeper for England in the non-presence of Hannah Hampton and Khiara Keating.
England's starting eleven: Moorhouse, Bronze, Charles, Walsh, Le Tissier, Morgan, Mead, Stanway, Russo, Toone, Hemp.
Bench: Hings, Baggaley, Kendall, Wubben-Moy, Beever-Jones, Kelly, Kearns, Park, Blindkilde Brown, Roebuck, Clinton, Denton, Fisk, Godfrey.
Details are being sought for China’s team news now; once it is available, I will share it.
Skipper News
Keira Walsh is serving as captain for the Lionesses with Leah Williamson still unfit. These were her comments before this match:

First Cap News
This evening’s match will be Anna Moorhouse's maiden cap for England. She was a part of the Euros team who triumphed this past summer, but she did not play any minutes with Hannah Hampton in the first-choice keeper position.
