Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Guidance from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA Debut

Young golfer preparing for major tournament

Kai Trump can count on multiple prominent backers as she makes her LPGA debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be the granddaughter of a former US president, received a tournament invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.

Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, operates several international courses and frequently competes against his granddaughter.

"He's pretty good. I can't say much but we play tight competitions," she stated.

The golfer shared that Trump, unable to come, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."

"He practically told me to compete and enjoy myself," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's just an ordinary family member. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."

As an amateur, the golfer has competed in only three events recently and has position 461 in AJGA rankings.

However she can seek guidance from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with Kai's mother.

"He represents the top athlete globally," Kai expressed.

"Furthermore, he's an even better human being. He told me to compete, enjoy myself, following the flow."

The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in professional golf at this tournament, including world number two Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.

Officials mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to wider groups, particularly among younger fans.

Kai boasts substantial online presence and just introduced a personal clothing and lifestyle brand.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
